Constitution of The Benevolent & Welfare Fund

The Benevolent & Welfare fund was formed for the sole intention of supporting the members of the Chinese Crested Dog Club.

The Benevolent & Welfare Fund (T.B.W.F.) is to be supervised by two Officials who are responsible for the day to day running and fundraising for the T.B.W.F. Each of whom must be a committee member or elected by the committee of the Chinese Crested Dog Club. The Officers are responsible for authorising any form of fund raising in the name of T.B.W.F. and also jointly accountable for the dispersal of funds.

T.B.W.F. will also be overseen by three trustees whose approval must be given before any discretionary payments (excepting those as described in paragraph 7) can be made. The decision of the trustees is final. The trustees will consist of an officer of the Chinese Crested Dog Club and two other Officers/Committee members, all to be elected by the Committee of the Chinese Crested Dog Club.

All monies raised in the name of the T.B.W.F. will be kept by the Chinese Crested Dog Club in a separate account. This account will be maintained by the Treasurer of the Chinese Crested Dog Club and fund issued by him/her on the receipt of a cheque requisition signed by the two officers.

Monies raised in the name of T.B.W.F. are to be used solely for the benefit of the members of the Chinese Crested Dog Club.

Application may be made by any Chinese Crested Dog Club member to T.B.W.F. for funds to alleviate a temporary difficulty relating to their circumstances.

Small gestures of goodwill such as flowers and cards may also be made the T.B.W.F. on such occasions as funerals and illnesses etc. without consultation with the Trustees.

Donations made by T.B.W.F. are at the discretion of the Trustees, only after Trustees approve the application but funds paid should not be more than 30% of the current balance.

All Donations paid to a recipient must be a fully paid member of the Chinese Crested Dog Club for two years or more.

T.B.W.F. account will be presented to AGM for end of year accounts, no individual payment is to be shown account only to show monies paid in and out only.
